ABOUT
SHANNON KEARNS
Shannon is a Senior Undermain Theatre company member and has been so honored, nourished, and transformed by creating with her Undermain family since Blasted in 2004. She was last seen as Alice in How is it that We Live or Shakey Jake + Alice, by Len Jenkin, and as Masha in The Three Sisters. She has played more than two dozen roles with Undermain; playing the role of Mary in The Testament of Mary was a turning point for her in 2015.
Shannon has also worked with Core Performance Manufactory, Echo Theatre, Theatre Britain, Risk Theatre Initiative & The Modern Stage, Kitchen Dog Theater, WingSpan Theatre Company, Arts & Letters Live (Dallas Museum of Art), and The Clarence Brown Theatre (Knoxville, Tenn.). She has had the pleasure of learning from many inspiring teachers over the course of her life’s journey, like working under the direction of Henryk Baranowski, Liviu Ciulei, Peter Huszti, Kathryn Pogson, Laszlo Marton, and Fred Curchack, and performing in festivals in Bratislava, Slovakia (Istropolitana), and Budapest, Hungary.
Additionally, Shannon has performed with Mabou Mines and trained with members of Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Shakespeare & Company, Moscow School of Dramatic Arts, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Hungarian National Academy of Acting, DellʼArte International School of Physical Theatre, and The Living Theatre.
One of her biggest joys in life has been teaching her theater students at Collin College for the past 20 years.
